Park Holds Toy Drive for Tweens Ballantyne Corporate Park held a Toys for Tweens Drive, collecting 837 toys in just two days for youth ages 10-14. The December collection also generated support from the greater Charlotte community, and Sam's Club of Pineville donated
$1,000. The toys collected benefited the Toys for Tots organization.
Newk's Helps Drill Well in Malawi Karas Hospitality, owner of
Newk's Express Cafés, is raising money to drill a well for the Miwa villagers in Malawi. Justin Karas, CEO of Karas Hospitality, says the village has 54 families and 154 orphans, many of whom become ill due to contaminated water.
