Breakfast Club Sets Spring Meetings
Website Offers Free Announcements
Pubdog Enterprises LLC, owned by Ballantyne resident James McCoy, has launched a free website, www.storktimes.com. It allows family and friends to create customized baby announcements in the form of newspaper articles. Announcements include the newborn's name, birth date, location and measurements, and are also themed for a potential future career such as firefighter or teacher. Announcements can be downloaded to a PC in PDF form for sending via email to a contact list, or to the user's Facebook and Twitter accounts.
The Ballantyne Breakfast Club, an information forum for the area, is celebrating its second decade of community service in 2012. Meetings this spring are scheduled for two Saturdays, April 14 and June 9.
The club will also hold its Fifth Annual Tommy Bahama Party & Fashion Show at the Aloft Charlotte Ballantyne in May.

Cricket Club Finds Practice, Match Sites The Charlotte Ballantyne Cricket Club announced it is now practicing at Olde Providence Racquet Club in southeast Charlotte.
Also, the new site where the team will play this year will be Kilbourne Park near uptown.
SPRING 2012
this year's Run! Ballantyne 10K/5K Race and 1-Mile Fun Run — which had close to 1,000 runners last year — will take place on Saturday, May 19. The charitable event is co-sponsored by Ballantyne Village.
