BIZ BUZZ Hotel Adds Suites, Wins Award The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge has debuted six 800-square-foot executive suites with picturesque golf-course views and private balconies. Each suite also features a charger port and Samsung televisions with a 55-inch screen in the living space and a 46- inch screen in the bedroom. The hotel is also the winner of a 2014 Orbitz Best in Stay Award for being a top-rated hotel in Charlotte. Bissell Makes Appointments The Bissell Cos. recently announced promotions and hirings at Bissell and The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge. At Bissell, Kat Carter was promoted to senior graphic designer, while Annie Arntz joined the frm as a graphic designer and Hailey Rorie came aboard as community director. Christina Thigpen was appointed vice president of marketing & communications. Ted Mueller was promoted to chief information offcer and vice president of operations, while Richard Fida was named director of engineering.
