Optometrists Tracey MacIntyre and Charlene Henderson, who founded Blink, constructed the new facility in concert with Bird Pediatric Dentistry so both practices could accommodate patient demand. Local Tutoring Center Expands The Academic Advantage Center will open in expanded space this fall in the Hixon Building at Ballantyne Corporate Park. The tutoring center, which has been operating in the area for fve years, has added a school to help parents teach homeschooled children higherlevel courses. The center also helps place students in internships with local businesses to get a sense of a possible career direction before entering college. The new site is the second Panera drive-through in Charlotte and will also offer catering. Panera Bread is known for its handcrafted, freshly baked artisan breads, antibiotic-free chicken, select organic and all-natural ingredients and a menu with zero grams of added trans fat. Cash donations made by customers at the Arboretum location are matched by Panera Bread and distributed to Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina.
