S O C I A L S E E N Black-Tie Gala Supports 'Smiles' Photos by Ray Sepesy A Night For Smiles hosted a black-tie gala April 28 at The Westin to benefit The Cleft Out Foundation. Dental and medical professionals, community lead- ers and health care advocates enjoyed cocktails, dinner, enter- tainment and a silent auction to support the foundation, which provides medical care and sup- plies to local families with a child born with cleft lip or palate. Sonia Chopra, founder of Bal- lantyne Endodontics, and John C. Nale, partner at Carolinas Center for Oral & Facial Surgery, served as event co-chairs. Two Ballantyne-area dentists also served as event hosts: Debo- rah J. Aten, partner at Aten & Garofalo Dentistry in Toringdon, and Mark Tadrissi, a partner at Ballantyne Endodontics. A Night For Smiles is a Charlotte-based nonprofit whose purpose is to raise money to provide dental health care to the local community. Details: www.anightforsmiles.org. 1. John Nale, Sonia Chopra 2.
