Sweet Charities Lending a helping hand Dancing Event Tops $650,000 The Third Annual Dancing with the Stars of Charlotte sponsored by Carolina Breast Friends raised $682,000 in April to benefit the Pink House. Golfers Raise Money for Sandbox More than 120 golfers raised $20,000 for The Sandbox charity at The British International School of Charlotte's 2nd Annual Global Golf Tournament in April at The Golf Club at Ballantyne. The charity supports Charlotte families whose children have been diagnosed with cancer or other life-altering illnesses. Blood Drive at Sara's YMCA Help save lives by donating blood at Ballantyne's drive with Community Blood Center of the Carolinas on Wednesday, June 27, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Sara's YMCA Community Room.
