Do you live in Ballantyne? Nearby, in Providence Plantation. Where did you grow up? An Army brat, I lived in Missouri, Virginia, Germany and Pennsylvania before attending high school and college in Virginia. As a kid, what did you want to be? A firefighter, then an astronaut. I wanted to pilot the Space Shuttle. Cessnas and Pipers were as close as I got. How do you stay organized? With two jobs, four nonprofit boards and five kids in the house … I'm eternally thankful my wife keeps the house and kids' schedules straight, and I can manage my calendars and sync with the family commitments. Do you have pets? Two cats, Max and Charlotte. What are you reading now? "Team of Teams" by Gen. Stanley McChrystal. What keeps you up at night? Providing a great future for our kids. What's No. 1 on your bucket list? Visiting Khao Lak, Thailand. My wife and I lost a dear friend there in the 2004 tsunami. I would love to lay a wreath in his memory. What charitable organization is important to you? The Susan M. Tillis Foundation for what we do for our veterans, and the Thomasboro Foundation for what we do for our kids in the Thomasboro- Hoskins community. Want to share anything else with our readers?
