News Cues Events, activities and more 1 Greenway Offers Summer Camps Parents of children ages 3 to 18 can register online for more than 50 summer camps at Anne Springs Close Greenway in Fort Mill. The most popular greenway camp is "Adventure Seekers," an outdoor day camp accredited by the American Camp Association. Registration/information: www.ascgreenway.org/camps. 2 Country Club to Renovate Raleigh-based McConnell Golf will spend $3.2 million to renovate the Providence Country Club course and clubhouse this year. The project includes transitioning putting surfaces to Champion Bermuda and adding fairway vistas. The course is anticipated to open for play in early September. 3 Symphony Makes Local Stop The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra's inaugural "On the Go" series will hold its final performance of the season Wednesday, May 2, at 7:30 p.m. at South Mecklenburg Presbyterian Church in Ballantyne. The event will feature Mendelssohn's "Sinfonia No. 7 in D minor," Fauré's "Pavane" and Mozart's "Symphony No. 33 in B flat major." Tickets: $15. The bikes are GPS and 3G-enabled, making it easy for users to locate a nearby bike and enjoy a ride for $1 per 30 minutes. For details, visit www.goballantyne.com. 5 Morrison Y Offers Spring Events The Jr. Production Company will stage "Dear Edwina, Jr.," and the Teen Production Company will present "The Little Shop of Horrors." Performances will be held at Black Box Theatre in Ballantyne Arts Center April 20-22. In addition, the Youth Theatre Company will present "Seussical Jr." June 1-3. The 14th annual Run! Ballantyne 8K, 5K and Fun Run will be held Saturday, May 19, at Sara's YMCA in Ballantyne. One of the community's largest road races, this event supports the YMCA Annual Campaign to provide YMCA preschool, after-school, summer and sports programs.
