W I R E At a Glance What's happening in and around Ballantyne Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles addresses the January meeting of the Ballantyne Breakfast Club, where the South Charlotte Partners organization was introduced. South Charlotte Partners Launches Advocacy Efforts S outh Charlotte Partners recently formed to act as a unified voice in response to growth, development and other issues impacting south Charlotte. The advocacy group will serve as a catalyst, facilitator and promoter of ideas and concerns to ensure that south Charlotte maintains a strong and vibrant future. South Charlotte Partners' steering committee includes community leaders with expertise in land development, parks and recreation, housing, neighborhoods, education and business. Key categories on the group's agenda include planning and zoning, transportation, education, community safety, parks and recreation, neighborhoods, cultural facilities and utilities. South Charlotte Partners will coordinate with the Ballantyne Breakfast Club to keep the community informed and is partnering with the Ballantyne Chapter of the Charlotte Chamber to cross- promote activities.
