What do you like most about your work? Fitness, health, wellness and the mind/body connection are core to my being and how I parent my children. It excites me to extend my knowledge and best practices. For how long have you lived in Ballantyne? 18 years. What did you want to be when you were a kid? Large and exotic animal veterinarian. Tell us about your pets. We have two rescue cats: Tuxedo Cat Stache and Himalayan Pretty Kitty. Four dogs: Venus and Romeo, hairy hairless Chinese cresteds (they are bald); Dharma, a Rhodesian Ridgeback; and Jedi, our 1-year-old, 90-pound Doberman pinscher. What do you eat for breakfast? Trader Joe's Ancient Grains cereal with one teaspoon each of turmeric and cinnamon and five cranks of cracked black pepper. That concoction is always coupled with a large half-caff Americano with one pump of coconut from Rush espresso. What are you reading now? "American Girls: Social Media and the Secret Lives of Teenagers" by Nancy Jo Sales. What would people never guess about you? I am a classically trained concert pianist. Also, I showed my Rhodesian Ridgeback, Zeus, at Westminster Kennel Club on TV. Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers? I am the one who rides that crazy sugar-skull beach cruiser (bicycle) with the lime green tires around Ballantyne.
