Hosting a lawn party in your backyard, or even at a park, can be much more fun and easy with a few creative tips. Select a Theme Defining a theme for your event gives you a starting point and will provide your guests a lasting memory. The theme can be used to inform your planning. For example, think about using your back- yard as a setting for a Mexican fiesta or a Hawaiian luau, delighting your guests with food and décor that complete the idea. Play music to further your theme. Pick selections that support the mood you're seeking. Hide cordless speak- ers in the landscape and set up a personalized playlist on Pandora. If your theme is "games," you can intro- duce board games as part of the décor.
