Tourney Helps Children with Disabilities The Allegro Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to helping children with disabilities, held its 7th Annual Allegro Invitational at The Golf Club at Ballantyne in September. More than 100 golfers participated, and 200 guests attended the dinner reception. All proceeds go directly to Allegro's free movement-education programs that benefit more than 700 children with disabilities in Charlotte and Fort Mill. As a bonus, artist Larry Christensen and Charlotte artist/curator Joni Purk will donate 50 percent of their sales during the month to the cause.
