BALLANTYNE | wire Premier Receives National Award Headquartered in Ballantyne Corporate Park, Premier Inc. has received the 2015 John M. Eisenberg Patient Safety and Quality Award from the Joint Commission and the National Quality Forum. The award recognizes Premier for improving patient safety and care through its national quality improvement initiative, QUEST, launched in 2008. Approximately 350 health systems volunteered to share data and defne a common framework with consistent measures. To date, QUEST participants have prevented more than 176,000 deaths, reduced health care spending by more than $15 billion and improved re-admission rates by 32 percent. Sara's YMCA Honors Sonic Automotive Sara's YMCA, the newest branch of the YMCA of Greater Charlotte and located in the heart of Ballantyne Corporate Park, has named its Wellness Center after Sonic Automotive to honor the Charlotte-based company's naming gift. This is the frst time Sonic has partnered with the Y. "Sonic Automotive wanted to be a part of this project since a big part of our culture is the promotion of health and ftness," says Rachel Richards, the company's vice president and chief marketing offcer. Sonic Automotive operates more than 100 dealerships across 14 states and 25 major metro markets. McConnell Golf Buys Country Club McConnell Golf, an independent private club ownership company, recently purchased Providence Country Club, making it the 12th private golf club property in the McConnell Golf portfolio. McConnell Golf plans to spend $4 million the next few years renovating the golf course and also looks to make other club improvements.
