She received orders, but it became time- consuming managing feeds, messages and orders. She now uses her website as the central contact point. Her biggest confdence boost, however, came from the local attention. Walking into shops with her daughters, owners would ask about the jewelry they were wearing (Hall also designs a line of necklaces for children, Little Bits). Her jewelry is now carried in at least fve local boutiques, a number expected to grow. "I feel like it's been organic growth," Hall says. "I walked into a store with my girlfriend, and a girl happened to be a buyer and she said, 'I love your necklace.' We met a couple days later, and they bought a bunch on the spot. From there I felt like, 'OK, the ball is rolling.'" Another valuable relationship started online but it soon became clear it was a local connection. Charlotte- based interior designer Lauren Nicole and her assistant were arranging and posting photos of fall vignettes on Instagram After starting with necklaces, Hall branched out to making bracelets and other jewelry.
