A Second Chance
Cole Lawrence, 27, returned to school
to take advantage of opportunities
he wishes he'd taken while studying
at Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn.
After graduating, he worked in sales,
when he really wanted to work in
sports. He started an internship
with the Charlotte Checkers hockey
team last year and decided to pursue
his dream. Through the internship,
he learned about Wingate's Master
of Arts in Sports Management.
He loves the program's hands-on
approach and how the evening
classes let him intern with the
Checkers and work as a server at the
nearby Bad Daddy's Burger Bar.
