The club's total exceeded last year's by $6,200. The fundraising was in conjunction with Patriot Golf Day, jointly supported by the PGA of America and the United States Golf Association. Patriot Golf Day and related activities have allowed the Folds of Honor Foundation to distribute more than 2,000 scholarships internationally. More info or to donate: www.patriotgolfday.com. 5K Supports Middle School Athletics Over 1,000 people signed up for this year's Big South 5K Road Race, which began and ended in the Shops at Blakeney Green on Oct. 17. This year's winners were Anthony Famiglietti of Davidson and Christine Witte of Charlotte.
