But at the time of this date, they craved red meat and we sent them to Smashburger, which opened recently in the StoneCrest at Piper Glen Shopping Center, and is part of a national chain.
Marianne ordered the restaurant's sumptuous Cobb salad.

Smashburger are "smash," "sizzle" and "savor." The company stresses that its staff is dedicated to creating the best-tasting "smashed-to-order" burger with toppings based on your individual tastes.
Marianne settled on what she called "an enormous and very colorful" Cobb salad. Alex got a burger and shake.
"It's very reasonably priced," Marianne notes. "It's very modern. It was really good, and the service was great. It looks small from the outside, but it's perfect, and the people were really nice."
