Birthplace: Koblenz, Germany. Grew up in Lancaster. Job: Senior executive assistant to the CEO of Polypore International Inc., also corporate office manager.
What do you like most about your job? I am a people person, and my job allows me to work with a variety of great folks every day. I also love the diversity of my role because in the 29 years with the company no two days are alike.
What's your guilty pleasure? German riesling.
Do you live in Ballantyne? Just a few miles south. I love this area; everything is so convenient.
What is your favorite Ballantyne-area restaurant? I have too many favorites to list them all, but Genghis Grill, Pei Wei and Firebirds are always great. If you want great soup, go to Gallery Restaurant.
What is your favorite outdoor activity? Camping and hiking with my family. Especially enjoying my guilty pleasure by the fire pit.
Describe your dream vacation? Taking three to four weeks to travel all over the U.S. in a luxury motor home with my family, visiting all the national parks and stopping wherever we want.
What would your theme song be for walking into a room? If you know me very well, you'd probably say Margaritaville. On a warm day there's nothing better than margaritas on the patio while listening to Jimmy Buffett.
I would be rather caught dead than wear ____. No makeup.
What charitable organizations are you involved with? Our company has been involved with United Way for many years. I serve as the key liaison between Polypore's campaign committee and the United Way staff. Another organization I have been involved with is Stop Hunger Now.
What is your biggest pet peeve? People who want everything but are not willing to work for it.
What is a hidden gem in Ballantyne? The walking trails.
What would people never guess about you? As a kid I was a grease monkey. I helped my dad rebuild Volkswagens.
