BALLANTYNE | date night a largely "liquid lunch" at the Stadium Sports Tavern, located at the intersection of Tom Short and Ardrey Kell roads in the Fountains Shopping Center. And while Wisconsin lost the game, the couple found a way to make love work. The trouble for the two, however, was their location — George Delano and Erin Wilk Ellen Christie and Wes Wolters or, we should say, locations. Wes, a pilot, was stationed in Charlotte, and Ellen lived and worked in Southern California. One year after their college football-heavy date, Wes tells us they're rectifying that situation. "It looks like she is going to be moving to Charlotte in (late 2011), " he says, noting they each grew tired of the long- distance relationship. "It's not easy, doing it that way, and the plan always was for her to move here. It has just been a matter of timing and working it out." "They're doing really well. They are very intelligent girls who have picked up on the game very quickly." Newlyweds, New Parents When sparks fly on Date Night, however, it can be part of something special. Just ask Erin Hunter-Watters and Pete Watters, who ended up getting married months after we sent them out on the town in Ballantyne last year. Pete works as a producer for ESPN. He invited Erin to Orlando, Collin and Debbie Ricks Fla., on a business trip, and surprised her while they were there by popping the question. "He had flown my whole family and his whole family down," she says. "They were able to celebrate the weekend with us, so it was just awesome." Erin and Pete's journey toward wedded bliss continued to take them on the road. Following the Florida engagement, the couple married in Las Vegas.
