Harmony on Ice
Like synchronized
swimming, synchronized
figure skating requires a
team of figure skaters to
execute lines, blocks and
wheels in perfect harmony.
The Southern Stars, two
synchronized skating teams
of young girls, practice on
Saturdays in preparation for
four competitions a season.
You can catch them in
action on Saturday, Dec. 13 , at
the Ice House when they join
other local figure skaters
for Winter Show 2014. The
annual holiday event is
open to the public and runs
from 4:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.
Tickets are $5 in advance
