"Hockey has been good
for Jake because he's had
to learn to set priorities,
meaning school comes
first. He's also had to learn
to eat right, get enough
sleep and do strength
training because at this
age there is more physical
contact in the game."
According to Coach Mike
Hutton, who played for AAA
pro hockey teams, "Once
kids are on the ice, they feel
free and have so much fun
bonding with others who
share their love of the sport."
For Jake, hockey definitely
provides an escape.
"When I get on the ice,
everything else disappears
and it's just hockey."
