Characters
on Parade
Elon Elementary
School held a parade
of storybook characters
in October to celebrate
literacy and reading
in conjunction with its
fall book fair. Students
and staff dressed like
a favorite storybook
character and brought
the book with them. The
book fair occurred after
the parade. All money
raised from the fair went
to buying e-books, book
sets for classroom
teachers and resource
books for teachers.

opened in the Old Lancaster
Town Center, located at Lancaster Highway and Providence Road
West. The year-round facility features a 46-by-24 indoor pool heated
to 90 degrees, a viewing area with free Wi-Fi, changing rooms, play
area for siblings and children not participating in lessons and a snack
