MAINE MAY BE THE ONLY DESTINATION in America where you have the
option of going on a moose safari or lobster scuba dive. The state is so
original, with such a breadth of topography and deeply ingrained New
England culture, that most people raised there stay for their entire life.
"If you're born and bred in Maine you rarely move more than two
hours away," says Angela Tariyal, a resident of Ardrey Commons who
is native to the state. "If you don't leave after college, you never leave."
The mother of three children and her husband, Aditya, moved to
