faces | BALLANTYNE NICHELLE NICHOLES LEVY Birthplace: Knoxville, Tenn. Job: Attorney, NASCAR Digital Media. What do you like most about your job? I like that no day is exactly the same as the one before. Every day brings interesting challenges that allow me to think and grow. What's your guilty pleasure? Television. Probably watch too much of it, but I enjoy serialized TV dramas ("Scandal," "Elementary," "Person of Interest," "House of Cards," "24" — I could go on). Do you live in Ballantyne? No. I live in Providence Plantation, but my life revolves around Ballantyne. My husband works there, my kids attend Rainbow Station for summer camp and the mothers' group I'm part of meets at Ballantyne Country Club. What is your favorite Ballantyne-area restaurant? At the moment, Vine, but I also really like Blackthorne and Terrace Café. What is your favorite outdoor activity? Walking long distances — allows me to think more clearly. Describe your dream vacation. Beachside villa well stocked with food and libations and all of my dear friends. What would your theme song be for walking into a room? "Turn Down for What!" by DJ Snake and Lil Jon. What is your favorite news source? Huffngton Post. I would be rather caught dead than wear _____. Stockings. What charitable organizations are you involved with? I am president of the South Charlotte Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, a board member of Women Executives for Community Service and the Women's Inter-Cultural Exchange, and a member of the Women's Impact Fund. What is your biggest pet peeve? Passive aggressiveness. I prefer for people to say what is on their minds. Share something that someone would never guess about you. Growing up, I played the trumpet, fute and bassoon. The bassoon is really cool, and I wish more kids could be exposed to double-reed instruments — they are beautiful and have a unique sound quality.
