ANNA GRACE EVANS Polo Ridge Elementary Yard Sales to Fund School of Hope Anna Grace Evans, daughter of Ray and Ashley Evans, is holding yard sales in Ballantyne this summer to raise $42,000 to provide schooling for 100 Haitian children in Minoterie. After she and her family visited the village last Thanksgiving on a mission trip, the plight of the children weighed on her heart. "When I came home, I wondered why I am not doing anything when I have all this stuff and they don't have anything?" she says. One day while putting on a shirt that was too small, she realized that instead of giving it away she could sell it and the money could sponsor a child. The School of Hope, which includes one meal a day, costs $35 per month per child. www.BallantynetoHaiti. com/child-sponsorships Y O U R R E A L E S T A T E S P E C I A L I S T in Ballantyne and South Charlotte L ive Here.
