BALLANTYNE | wire Lilly Named a Father of Year Kevin Lilly, general counsel and secretary of Ballantyne-based SPX Corp., is one of fve area dads named 2014 Father of the Year by the National Father's Day Council, which honors fathers for their outstanding commitment to their children and the values of fatherhood. Lilly and other area winners will be honored June 20 at Charlotte's 14th annual Father of the Year Awards fundraiser, which benefts the American Diabetes Association. Lilly and his wife, Kathy, live in Ballantyne and have two children, Matt, 30, and Meghan, 27, and two grandchildren. Lilly is active with the Misty Meadows Mitey Riders therapeutic horseback riding program in Weddington and works with Teach for America and Loaves and Fishes. Greene Hits Trail for CF Todd Greene, a founding partner of Brader Greene, a Ballantyne CPA frm located at The Fountains at Ardrey Kell, recently participated at the Xtreme Hike, raising money to fght Cystic Fibrosis (CF). After training for three months, he hiked 30.1 miles on the Appalachian Trail in a single day. His effort raised $3,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
