Ballantyne Artist in Greenway Exhibit Red Sky Gallery in Charlotte will host an exhibition this fall of 50 works by nine local artists that depict greenways throughout the city. Artist Barbara Jamison, one of the members of the artists' Kellie Scott (left), Barbara Jamison group "pARTners," and Red Sky Gallery owner Kellie Scott, are both residents of Ballantyne. A reception open to the public is Friday, Oct. 9 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The show will run through Nov. 9. Paintings are for sale at a variety of prices, with Red Sky Gallery donating a portion of the proceeds to Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation. James Beard House Preview Dinner: The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge has been chosen to host a dinner in November at the legendary James Beard Foundation in New York City. Enjoy a preview of the fve-course meal and wine pairings at the Gallery Restaurant & Bar on Oct. 19 at 6:30 p.m. Cost: $85 per person, not including tax and service charge. The Golf Club Honors Veterans: In recognition of Veterans Day Nov. 11, veterans and active military personnel can play for half the regular rate on Sunday, Nov. 10 with valid ID.
