According to Markley, the organic aspect of their business is very important to their customers — so is the fact that it is locally owned and that ingredients are locally sourced from Charlotte-area farmers. They also like the Kitchen's week-to-week flexibility. Customers can order when, and in the amounts needed, without any defined commitment. "I enjoy cooking when there's time, but in the summer we are often scrambling," says Ballantyne resident Keira Mayock. "My whole family loves the dishes, and I love that you can just sit down and enjoy them." The company posts a new menu of breakfast, lunch and dinner items each Tuesday, and meals are delivered on Sundays and Mondays.
