PROMOTION P R O P E R S P E C T I V E The Blossoming Kitchen Delivering fresh, organic meals to Ballantyne H ello summer, what's for dinner? Between unpredictable family schedules, travel plans and Charlotte heat, kitchen duty in the summer months isn't everyone's cup of tea. Plus, the pool is calling, which may be the best reason of all to take a vacation from cooking this season. Charlotte's own organic meal delivery service, The Blossoming Kitchen, makes that easy by eliminating the shopping, chopping, cooking and clean-up that can take up a lot of time on summer days — time we'd all rather be enjoying outdoors or relaxing with family. The Blossoming Kitchen was started by three Charlotte women, award- winning executive chef Katrina Bearer, holistic nutritionist Adrienne Wei and Ballantyne resident Kara Markley. Their goal was to help families save time, eat all-organic foods and provide a hyper- local alternative to big-name services. "HelloFresh and Blue Apron are good options for some families, but for those who don't want to spend an hour preparing dinner, we offer a no-prep local alternative," says Wei. "You can spend just a couple of minutes getting a gorgeous meal ready, giving you time to simply enjoy the people around you." The Blossoming Kitchen's fresh organic breakfast, lunch and dinner options take about two minutes to heat and come in microwave-safe, recyclable containers. They're ready to go at any point of the day, making it easy for all family members to grab a healthy and hassle-free meal. The balanced and generously portioned meals are great for busy households and for anyone who wants to eat whole, healthy foods without the time-consuming prep. Each meal includes nutritional information for tracking calories, carbohydrates, sugar, etc., and the menu changes every week to incorporate seasonal ingredients available in Charlotte.
