W I R E At a Glance What's happening in and around Ballantyne T he most amenity-rich project to date in Ballantyne is expected to begin construction in mid-June, announces its owner, Northwood Office. The mixed- use project is located at 13146 Ballantyne Corporate Place. The project will deliver a 328,000-square-foot, 11-story office building, with plans to add a luxury apartment tower in partnership with Northwood Ravin. The office portion is expected to deliver by the first quarter of 2021. The office property will feature 10 stories of Class A office space, with each floor consisting of 32,000 square feet, the largest floor-plate size in Ballantyne. The top level will be an amenity floor, featuring a rooftop terrace with open and covered areas furnished with tables, seating, a fire pit, audio/visual and provisions for outdoor food and beverage service. Tenants will have exclusive access to nearly 9,000 square feet of space for relaxation, collaboration and events. The main level will include a 2,500-square-foot fitness facility. Targeting LEED Silver Core & Shell certification, the contemporary workplace will feature floor-to-ceiling glass walls with views of the Ballantyne community. Retail amenities are planned for the main level. Northwood Development will manage the office project, working with architectural firm LS3P Associates and general contractor Rodgers Builders.
