S O C I A L S E E N Luncheon Explores Global Trade Photos by Daniel Coston The Ballantyne Chapter of the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance held a luncheon in December at the Hilton Garden Inn in Waverly. The topic was "The Climate of Trade and International Business Affairs." Guest speakers included: Greg Sizemore, director of the U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration; Hans Hilgenstock, director of route development for Kuehne + Nagel; and Stan Vick, regional vice president, customs compliance for Kuehne + Nagel. Claudio Carpano, honorary consul of Italy and president of Management inSites, served as moderator. The discussion explored top sectors for Charlotte-area exports and the economic impact of tariffs in the private sector.
