Typical day You can find me attending different events, meeting with nonprofit partners, networking and volunteering. Do you live in Ballantyne? Yes, I have lived in Charlotte for about 10 years and moved to the Ballantyne area in early 2018. Best-kept secret in Ballantyne Sunflour Bakery. I love their scones! Local place where everyone knows your name Miró Spanish Grille. It's our regular date night spot . Favorite music My favorite song is "Somebody Loves You" by Betty Who. It's a great pump-up song with a sweet message. Media to recommend Our team at work recently read "The Idea Hunter" by Andy Boynton and Bill Fischer. It inspires readers to think outside the box. Guilty pleasure "House Hunters" — I always try to guess which house they're going to pick! Who greets you when you get home each day? My amazing husband. Best advice you've been given and by whom My Dad once told me: "What will make you a better person is how you handle life's disappointments. Sometimes good things come out of what might not appear to be exactly what you wanted." Favorite charity Big Brothers Big Sisters. We host a Beyond School Walls program at three of our hospitals. I am a big sister to a bright "Little." I love the idea of mentoring young girls to be strong, smart women. What's the No. 1 thing you want people to know about you? I may not have been born here, but Charlotte is the first place that truly feels like home.
