Golf Club Benefits Folds of Honor The Golf Club at Ballantyne raised more than $9,600 in September to benefit the Folds of Honor Foundation, an organization that provides post-secondary educational scholarships for children and spouses of military service men and women killed or disabled while serving the country. More info or donate: Sweet Charities Lending a helping hand 5th Annual Event Aids The Relatives The Ballantyne Ball, a charity founded to support local causes, will be held Saturday, Feb. 23, at 6 p.m. at The Ballantyne. Net proceeds will benefit The Relatives, a nonprofit shelter serving homeless and runaway youth. Info/tickets: or Rotary Supports Beds for Kids, Y Swim Classes Meck-South Rotary Club recently gave Beds for Kids a $15,000 grant that purchased a truckload of beds. The club also provided $5,000 to Brace YMCA to fund water safety and swimming classes, and will donate $2,000 to Operation Warm in December to purchase coats for kids.
