Her favorite roles range from Aurora in "Sleeping Beauty" to new, contemporary works. An active member of the Charlotte community, she enjoys collaborating with organizations. "Bringing local art to life for this issue through dance and fashion was so inspiring!" she says. PAGE 64 Kim Hummel Kim has been a freelance photographer for 25 years, mostly in and around Charlotte. Her passions are capturing people and visually conveying their stories. "There are a lot of amazing people out there, doing great things," Kim says. "I hiked in the Smoky Mountains with a guide and naturalist who shared his intimate trail knowledge and love of the area," Michael says. "There is so much to experience in these neighboring communities. It was a fun getaway."
