26 Local Rotarians Climb

Among Charlotte-area Rotarians who climbed Mt. Rotary clubs from District 7680, including the South Mecklenburg-Rotary Club, climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in September. All made it to the top, and are the first U.S. Rotarians to reach the peak as a group. The members raised over $100,000 toward Rotary's signature project to "End Polio Now." Launched in 1985, this Rotarian effort has resulted in 20 million volunteers in 200 countries immunizing over two billion children.
