Celebrate Autumn Drop by The Ballantyne Enjoy a variety of fall events and activities at The Ballantyne. Reservations are required for food and beverage occasions. Call 704-248-4100. Afternoon Teas Afternoon Tea is served Wednesday through Saturday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. year-round. Cost: $40 for adults and $20 for junior patrons (ages 5-12), plus tax and gratuity. Special teas this fall include: Champagne Tea with Jane Austen, Sept. 13 - 16; Wizard Tea (inspired by Harry Potter), Oct. 25 - 28; and Psychic Tea, Nov. 15 - 18. Cost of special teas: $45 for adults, $25 for junior patrons, plus tax and gratuity. The Golf Club at Ballantyne On Veterans Day, Nov. 11, veterans play for half off the daily rate. Thanksgiving Brunch Celebrate Thanksgiving Day with brunch and live entertainment on Nov. 23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost: $85 for ages 13 and older, $35 for children ages 5-12 and complimentary for children 4 and younger (pricing does not include alcoholic beverages, tax or 24 percent service charge). Space for Holiday Events T he Ballantyne offers a diversity of event-space options for corporate and social events. For events hosted Sunday through Thursday in November and December, receive 10 percent off food and beverage pricing with 50 percent off room-rental fees and reduced guest-room rates. Whiskey Club A special Whiskey Club event on Saturday, Oct. 21, will showcase bourbons through afternoon tastings and seminars, followed by a cocktail reception and Whiskey Around the World Dinner. The Whiskey Club of Ballantyne meets monthly on Fridays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to explore whiskies and enjoy complementing small plates. Other upcoming events: National Bourbon Month Celebration, Sept. 29, and The Miraculous Rebirth of Rye Whiskey, Nov. 24.
