What do you like most about your job? The projects are challenging, and I meet people in the community. Do you live in Ballantyne? Yes, in Cady Lake. My family moved to Ballantyne from Iowa in 2015. What did you want to be when you were a kid? A teacher. I taught for four years in Washington, D.C., prior to law school. What's your favorite thing to do in Ballantyne? Hang out with my family on the lawn at Blakeney Village Green while eating ice cream. How do you stay organized? Any life-management tips to share? I try to focus on one task at a time and not sweat the small stuff. What are you reading now? "Worldmaking: The Art and Science of American Diplomacy," by David Milne. How do you spend your free time? I like to go for drives with my family to explore Charlotte. What's No. 1 on your bucket list? I want to take my entire family to Asia, where I've traveled extensively for business. What charitable organization is important to you? Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont. I like to find good bargains at their retail stores and admire their efforts in job training. What would someone never guess about you? My favorite color is yellow.
