Do you live in Ballantyne? I live in Plaza Midwood. I came to Charlotte (as well as the USA) nearly two years ago. When I was in China, I owned a language teaching school and was also a part-time tour guide. Why did you decide to open a food truck? The reason why I started cooking dumplings and other Chinese food is because I missed my hometown (in the Sichuan province of China). Tell us more about Sichuan. My hometown is the home base of giant pandas and spicy food. Hot pot is really famous in my hometown. How did you learn to cook? I learned cooking from my grandma and also from my friend when I was in primary school. I (also) read cook books and the internet. But I can only make Sichuan food, which is famous for its spice and greasiness. Do you have any pets? We have a Labrador called Meimei. What do you eat for breakfast? We normally eat noodles and steam buns and warm soy milk. How do you spend your free time? Yoga. I work 6½ days of the week so I don't really have lots of free time.
