Christmas Eve Dinner Gallery Restaurant will be open for dinner Christmas Eve from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The restaurant will feature its regular menu and prime rib dinner special. New Year's Eve Party Ring in the new year starting at 9 p.m. in the Carolina Room with DJ, live music, drink specials, party favors and a champagne toast. Open to guests 21 and over staying at the hotel. 2017 Happenings Tastings: Gallery Restaurant offers weekly tastings on Fridays at 6:30 p.m. with light bites. The first and third Fridays of the month usually feature wine; the second Friday focuses on cocktails. Cost: $25-40 per person. The Whiskey Club of Ballantyne: Explore the nuances of whiskies served with small plates in Gallery Restaurant on Fridays from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. 2017 events include: "New Year, New Macallan" on Jan. 27; "Whiskeys of Japan" on Feb. 24; and "Utah's Whiskey History" on March 31. Cost: $50 per person. Special Teas: A Winter Wonderland Tea will be held 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 11-14, featuring warm savories and hot toddies. Cost: $40 for adults, $20 for junior patrons. A magical Princess Tea will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 15-18, featuring a special menu and decor for royalty.
