NEWS CUES BALLANTYNE | wire Check Out Sara's YMCA, Spring Events The Ballantyne Village YMCA has transitioned into the new Sara's YMCA at the corner of Ballantyne Corporate Place and Brixham Hill Avenue. A part of Morrison Family YMCA, Sara's Y is designed to enhance health and wellness offerings with a dedicated hot yoga studio, indoor/outdoor athletic training space, expanded group exercise room, personal training area, nutrition and wellness activities and cafe. Breakfast Club Meets in April, June The Ballantyne Breakfast Club holds meetings this spring in April and June on Saturday mornings. The April gathering focuses on continued development along Providence Road, with representatives from the Charlotte planning and transportation departments providing details on growth and road improvements. Meetings, which are free and open to the public, are at The Ballantyne Hotel & Lodge starting at 9 a.m., with attendees gathering at 8 a.m. to enjoy complimentary coffee and refreshments. Greenway Hosts Naturalist Course Anne Springs Close Greenway hosts a 12-week environmental training course Wednesday, March 2, through Wednesday, May 18, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for anyone interested in becoming a certifed South Carolina Master Naturalist. The Catawba Master Naturalist Program teaches participants how to identify plants and animals and understand ecological concepts they can apply through volunteering in their communities. Corporate Park Celebrates Earth Day Ballantyne Corporate Park holds its 7th Annual Earth Day Event on Thursday, April 21, at Brixham Green. The public event features free shredding and electronic recycling, music, giveaways and a variety of "green" vendors with information for the community.
