She took a job in the fnancial industry in 1997 and now works as a senior broker dealer specialist at MetLife. Despite her professional success, Wisniewski, 42, yearned to fnish her college degree. She earned an associate's degree from CPCC in May and now is studying full time at Wingate's Ballantyne campus to earn her bachelor's degree in liberal arts, organizational communication and management. Her education will help in her current job, and she'd like to use it to transition to more marketing-related duties at MetLife. A major motivator for her schooling, however, has been the desire to be a good role model for her family, which includes husband Mark and twin six- year-old boys, Turner and Brennon. Mark's help at home has allowed Wisniewski to focus on her education. "I think going to school helps them see that mommy's doing homework, she's going to school, that's what we need to be doing, too," she says. And her sons are noticing. At the dinner table recently, Brennon started the conversation by asking, "So, how has your day been? How was school?" Wisniewski remembers growing up and seeing her parents' passion for education. She watched her father earn his master's degree and her mother earn two bachelor's degrees plus a master's degree. "I don't think you're ever too old to go back to school," she says. "I think if you want to change your career, or learn something new, then go do it."
