Hoteliers Host Golf Event
The Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA)
hosted its seventh annual Charlotte Shootout Golf Tournament
at The Golf Club at Ballantyne Aug. 29-30.
More than 175 members from eight states attended the two-
day tournament. Participants raised $25,000 for local charitable
endeavors that include Samaritan's Feet, The Sandbox, Greg
Olsen Foundation, Hindu Center, Ronald McDonald House, an
autism group and Pratham. AAHOA has 11,000 members who

BCC Rally Raises $250,000
The 12th annual BCC Rally, which featured fve events and the
Pink Bow Campaign, raised $250,000 in its 2015 campaign.
The money benefts Komen Charlotte and the Susan G.
Komen for the Cure in the fght against breast cancer.
In announcing the total, BCC Rally Board President Marcia
Myers Gainer acknowledged the volunteers, sponsors,
board members, captains and others who made the
accomplishment possible.
